Meet Dr. Emily

Dr. Emily Koufos-Radford, the daughter of Dr. Michael Koufos, is highly devoted to her profession and enjoys building relationships with her patients. As an orthodontist, Dr. Emily is deeply committed and driven, working diligently to provide exceptional care and ensure that all her patients achieve a beautiful smile.

EDUCATION

Dr. Emily, born and raised in Munster, Indiana, attended Munster High School before furthering her education at Indiana University Bloomington. In 2015, she successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Emily earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois in 2019.

Dr. Emily obtained her Master of Science Degree and orthodontic specialist certificate from Indiana University School of Dentistry after successfully completing her orthodontic residency in 2021. During her extensive training to become a specialist, she accomplished another notable achievement– being published as an author in two scientific journals, where she explored topics related to periodontal disease and screening for temporomandibular disorders.

Professional

Dr. Emily is an active member of numerous esteemed organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Northwest Indiana Dental Society, Seattle Study Club (SSC), Spear Study Group, and the Apollonia Women’s study group. Her dedication to continuing education ensures she stays up-to-date on the latest technologies and cutting-edge research, providing her patients with the finest treatment available.

Family

In her free time, Dr. Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, painting and crafting various items, watching reality TV shows, attending sporting events and concerts, and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers! She has three sisters – Sophie, Samantha, and Olivia (who is also her twin!). During her freshman year of college at Indiana University, she met her husband, Matthew, and they tied the knot in July of 2022! They are excited to announce they are expecting a baby boy in September 2024. She looks forward to all of the excitement of being a working mom!
